## The story

Kevin De Bruyne admitted he was uneasy with the deeper role he was asked to play in Napoli’s 3‑0 Serie A win over Frosinone, despite scoring twice. The Belgian midfielder said he has always preferred a number 8 or 10 position, and the change was forced by injuries to teammates Lobotka and Gilmour. De Bruyne’s goals came from a penalty and a close‑range pull‑back, while Noa Lang also found the net. He praised the team’s first‑half performance but noted they could have done better in the second half. The match, played at Stadio Diego Armando Maradona in Naples on 10 October 2026, highlighted the tactical adjustments Napoli’s coach Max Allegri had to make for a busy schedule. De Bruyne said he will try to help the squad and see how things develop in the coming games.
