## The story

Skincrawl Studios has released a first glimpse of "The Divine Comedy," a supernatural horror film directed by Patricio Valladares. The project serves as a modern reimagining of the "Inferno" segment from Dante Alighieri's classic poem, focusing on a grieving writer named Dante. In this version, the protagonist attempts to rescue his deceased wife, Beatrice, by descending into the realm of the dead. He is accompanied by Virgil, a former priest, as they navigate various nightmarish circles of Hell.

Screenwriter Loris Curci noted that the adaptation incorporates elements of Greek tragedy and classical mythology to enhance the visual experience. The production is a co-production between Italy's Anxur Films and Skincrawl Limited, featuring a cast that includes Christopher Rygh and Tilda Metsola. Although described as a small-budget production, the creators view it as their most ambitious work to date.

Skincrawl Studios plans to showcase a teaser trailer for the film at the upcoming American Film Market. Following that, the company intends to present the film at the European Film Market in Berlin early next year. The studio aims to enter the film into various international festivals to gauge audience interest.
