## The story

Zhuri, the beautifully‑bred filly from Legacy Link, will make her second racecourse appearance at Yarmouth on Sunday, 4 October 2026. The 2‑year‑old, who has shown good shape over longer trips, will drop to a seven‑furlong distance in a race that could prove a hot maiden. She will face the debutant Never An Angel, a filly also owned by Legacy Link and bought for 460,000 guineas as a yearling. Ed Walker, who has taken 15 per cent of his two‑year‑old runners this year, will ride Zhuri, while Kieran Shoemark will be in the saddle for Never An Angel. The filly has not seen out the full trip yet, but her recent performances suggest the shorter distance will suit her stamina and turn‑over. Yarmouth’s flat course offers a good test of speed and ability for a young filly, and the race is part of a busy Monday programme that also includes action at Wolverhampton. Other highlights of the day feature Powder Monkey chasing a hat‑trick at Wolverhampton and Box To Box and Cuff It battling in the Haven Seashore Holiday Park Handicap. With the field set, racing fans will watch to see whether Zhuri can break her maiden and establish herself as a promising two‑year‑old. The outcome will also determine whether the filly’s connections will consider a longer trip next season, potentially targeting higher‑class races.
