This Privacy Policy explains what information Daily Read Bytes ("we", "us", "the Service") collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. We aim to collect as little as possible.

Information we collect

• Account information. If you sign in with Google, we receive and store your name, email address, profile picture URL, and a Google account identifier. We never see your password.
• Session cookie. A single HttpOnly cookie keeps you signed in. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
• Activity. When you are signed in, we store the stories you like. Swipe interactions may be recorded in aggregate to improve story ordering.

What we do not collect

• No advertising identifiers, no third-party analytics scripts, no fingerprinting.
• No payment information: the Service is free.
• No precise location data.

How we use information

We use the information above solely to operate the Service: keeping you signed in, showing your liked stories, and improving what appears in your feed. We do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.

Where data lives

The Service runs on Cloudflare infrastructure (Workers, D1, and KV). Data is processed and stored subject to Cloudflare's own security practices. Sessions expire automatically and expired sessions are purged regularly.

Your choices and rights

• You can use the Service without an account; signing in is only needed for likes.
• Signing out deletes your active session.
• You may request deletion of your account data (account record, sessions, and likes) by contacting us (see below).

Children

The Service is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the date above. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated policy.
