Both sides noted a rise in trade volumes and diversification beyond traditional exports, with Russia seeking strategic investments to add value to Ghana's primary commodities.

Lavrov also agreed to address the recruitment of Ghanaian citizens to fight in Ukraine, after Ghana reported 62 deaths and 15 missing among its nationals. The talks signal a continued diplomatic engagement amid ongoing tensions in the region.
