Elephant Sanctuary Opens in Portugal
Julie, the last circus elephant in Portugal, has become the first resident of a new 400-hectare elephant sanctuary. The sanctuary provides Julie with her first real home after nearly 40 years in captivity. The move aims to provide a better life for Julie and other elephants.
