About Daily Read Bytes

Daily Read Bytes exists for a simple reason: keeping up with the news has become a full-time job, and most people do not have one to spare. We read widely across the day's reporting and condense what matters into short, plainly written digests you can get through in about thirty seconds each, with a link straight to the publication that did the reporting.

Who runs this

Daily Read Bytes is an independent publication founded and run by Kuber Sharma. It is not backed by a media group or an investor, and there is no newsroom behind it: it started as one person's answer to a cluttered news feed and has stayed deliberately small. Coverage leans toward technology, business, world affairs, sport, and film, which is roughly where our own attention goes.

Reader questions, corrections, and story tips all reach us at[email protected], and we read everything that arrives there.

How stories are chosen

We follow a fixed list of established publications and public channels across each of our topics. From what they publish, we keep stories with genuine news value and drop the rest: press releases republished as reporting, deal and coupon posts, affiliate shopping lists, quizzes, horoscopes, and anything whose main purpose is to sell something. Stories that would need reporting we have not done, such as unverified allegations against named individuals, are left alone.

How we treat the publications we link to

Every digest is written in our own words and is deliberately short. We do not reproduce article text, and we do not reproduce video transcripts or captions. Each story names the publication or channel that reported it and links directly to the original, because the original is the version worth reading in full and the people who produced it should get the visit.

Images are shown from the publisher's own servers rather than copied onto ours, and video stories play through YouTube's own player. If you are a publisher or rights holder and would rather not appear here at all, our legal notice explains how to have your work or your entire feed removed, and we act on those requests within 48 hours.

Corrections

Our digests are summaries, and the linked original is always the authoritative version of any story. If you spot something we have got wrong, write to us and we will correct or remove it. We would rather fix an error quickly than leave it sitting there.

Long Bytes

Alongside the daily digests we publish Long Bytes, longer pieces written at our own pace on subjects worth more than thirty seconds.
